FOOD FOR FINES AT CRAFT MEMORIAL LIBRARY – ARE YOU DELINQUINT WITH OVERDUE BOOKS?  BEEN MEANING TO TAKE CARE OF THOSE LIBRARY FINES BUT HAVENT HAD THE CHANCE YET?  THIS NOVEMBER, ELIMINATE YOUR OVERDUE FINES WHILE HELPING OUT THOSE IN NEED.  CRAFT MEMORIAL LIBRARY WILL HOLD FOOD FOR FINES FROM NOV.1-30TH.  BRING IN ANY NON PERISHABLE CANNED FOOD PRODUCT FOR EVERY OVERDUE ITEM ON YOUR CARD AND WE WILL FORGIVE ANY CURRENT OR PREVIOUS FINE ON YOUR ACCOUNT.  FOOD WILL BENEFIT LOCAL FOOD BANKS.  THIS YEAR, THE LIBRARY WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTING NON-PERISHABLE PET FOOD FOR LOCAL RESCUES/SHELTERS.  FMI CALL 304-325-3943

DEC. 4:  EAST RIVER TOWN BAND WILL BE PERFORMING LIVE AT THE MCKEEVER LODGE AT PIPESTEM RESORT STATE PARK.  TIME IS 3PM

NOW – DEC. 31:  THE CITY OF BLUEFIELD, WEST VIRGINIA WELCOMES YOU TO ONE OF THE LARGEST LIGHT SHOWS IN THE TWO VIRGINIAS – THE HOLIDAY OF LIGHTS AT LOTITO CITY PARK.  WHAT BEGAN WITH A FEW SCATTERED SNOWFLAKES HAS GROWN TO OVER 850,000 LIGHTS TRANSFORMED INTO A SHOWCASE OF HOLIDAY THEMES THAT ARE SURE TO TOUCH THE HEARTS OF EVERY VISITOR.  THIS BEAUTIFUL ARRAY OF LIGHTS COVERS 110+ ACRES OF PARKLAND AND PROVIDES A 1.5 MILE DRIVE THROUGH THE PARK.  EACH YEAR NEW PIECES ARE ADDED AND OLDER PIECES IMPROVED.  THE CITY OF BLUEFIELD’S HOLIDAY OF LIGHTS DISPLAY IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS IN THE AREA. 

DEC. 10:  GRAHAM HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT GRADUATION HOLIDAY BAZAAR FROM 9AM -2PM.  A VARIETY OF ARTISTS, CRAFTERS AND VENDORS TO HELP YOU WITH ALL YOUR HOLIDAY SHOPPING, PLUS FOOD AND RAFFLES.  COME OUT AND SUPPORT GRAHAM HIGH SCHOOL’S PROJECT GRADUATION.

DEC. 10:  HELPING HANDS VENDOR EVENTS WILL BE HOLDING A “CHRISTMAS IN PRINCETON” SHOPPING EVENT ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10 FROM 10AM – 4PM AT THE PRINCETON RECREATION CENTER. OVER 18 LOCAL VENDORS WILL BE THERE FOR ALL OF YOUR CHRISTMAS NEEDS INCLUDING CRAFTERS, JEWELRY, CLOTHING, HOME ITEMS, BEAUTY PRODUCTS AND MORE! THE SALVATION ARMY WILL BE THERE FOR YOUR DONATIONS. A GRAND PRIZE DRAWING WILL BE HELD AT 2PM WITH PRODUCTS FROM ALL VENDORS. DONATIONS TO THE SALVATION ARMY INCLUDES YOUR ENTRY FOR THE GRAND PRIZE DRAWING! SHOP WITH LOCAL VENDORS AND SUPPORT THE SALVATION ARMY!

DEC. 10:  THE 7TH ANNUAL CAN-JAM .  SURE TO BE ROCKING WITH ARTISTS SUCH AS JEAN HANNA DAVIS, BETWEEN THE DITCHES, JC/BC, AND THE BOATMEN ALL PERFORMING AT THE RAILYARD FOR A GREAT CAUSE. THE COST OF ADMISSION IS $5 OR 5 CANS OF FOOD TO BE DONATED TO THE BLUEFIELD UNION MISSION.  THERE WILL ALSO BE SEVERAL RAFFLES AND PRIZES GIVEN AWAY ALL NIGHT. THE SHOW STARTS AT 7 P.M.

DEC. 10:  BLUEFIELD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER PRESENTS BREAKFAST WITH SANTA FROM 9AM – 11AM.  AT THE BLUEFIELD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER.  COST IS $8 FOR ADULTS AND $5 FOR CHILDREN.

DEC. 10:  EXPERIENCE CHRISTMAS IN THE SMALL VICTORIAN TOWN OF BRAMWELL. THIS TOUR OF HOMES IS FILLED WITH HOLIDAY SPIRIT. ALL THE MANSIONS ARE DECORATED FOR THE SEASONS, AS WELL AS THE LIGHT POSTS ON THE BRICK STREET. MEET AT THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH AN HOUR BEFORE THE EVENT TO PURCHASE TICKETS. INTERPRETERS WILL BE AT EACH HOME TO TELL STORIES OF THE EARLY DAYS OF THE TOWN. MUSIC IS AVAILABLE, ALONG WITH FREE REFRESHMENTS. ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE NOT NECESSARY.
