ATTENTION LOCAL ARTISTS/WRITERS:  THE BLUESTONE REVIEW, A LITERARY JOURNAL IN ITS 24TH YEAR OF PUBLICATION BY STUDENTS AT BLUEFIELD COLLEGE, IS NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS THROUGH JANUARY 30, 2017.  SUBMISSIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY AT-LARGE WITH A SPECIAL CALL TO STUDENTS OF BLUEFIELD COLLEGE ARE ENCOURAGED AND MAY BE OFFERED VIA EMAIL AND POSTAL MAIL, THOUGH EMAIL IS PREFERRED. MAR. 2: GRAND OPENING AND RIBBON CUTTING FOR RURAL KING.  THURSDAY , MARCH 2, 2017 AT 9AM.  261 MERCER MALL ROAD, UNIT 2 – BLUEFIELD, WV

 

MAR. 2:  MERCER COUNTY DAY AT THE LEGISLATURE.  MARCH 2ND IN CHARLESTON.  5:30PM RECEPTION AND DINNER AT THE MARRIOTT.  $150 SPONSORSHIP WILL ENTITLE YOU TO TWO DINNER RESERVATIONS AND ADDITIONAL GUESTS ARE WELCOME AT $60 EACH.  ACTIVITIES FOR THE DAY BEGIN AT 2PM WITH MEETINGS AT THE CAPITOL.

 

MAR. 3:  BIBLE IN THE SCHOOLS BENEFIT AT THE CHUCK MATHENA CENTER FEATURING THE HALLS RIDGE BOYS AND 4 SEASONS BLUEGRASS.  THERE WILL BE A SILENT AUCTION HELD IN THE LOBBY AS WELL.  SHOW STARTS AT 7PM AND TICKETS ARE $10.  ALL PROCEEDS GO TO BENEFIT BIBLES IN THE SCHOOLS.  ADDITIONAL DONATIONS MAY BE MADE ON THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT.  TICKETS CAN BE OBTAINED AT THE CMC BOX OFFICE
